The Dos and Don’ts of Dining at Disney World

    August 9, 2017 /

But there are a few things…

5 Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Book Your Walt Disney World Vacation (and Why You Need to Answer Them)

    July 14, 2017 /

It's these hiccups that really end up being the stories we carry forward as a family. And it's these hiccups that helps us plan our next trip. Through the past seven years of visiting Walt Disney World a number of times a year (for any number of days, any time of year (except summer...we just don't do Florida Disney sticky, sweat-inducing summer heat)), we've figured out some questions we ask ourselves each and every time we book a new trip. Only after we've figured the answers to these questions out, do we really get to the task of actually making the magic happen.

Edaville Family Theme Park is Worth Your Weekend (Let’s Be Honest, It’s Thomas Land)

    June 15, 2017 /

For a family that typically does Disney World at least three times a year and a momma who grew up working at a family-owned theme park in Pennsylvania (which we visit annually), we really didn't know what to expect before showing up. But it was perfect. It was small and sweet. It was managable. It was suited for everyone. And, most importantly, it had Thomas.

Answers to Some Questions You Didn’t Know You Had When Planning a Getaway to Nickelodeon’s All Inclusive Resort in Punta Cana-Updated

    November 13, 2016 /

Then one day it just started popping up everywhere. I mean every single place I looked. It stalked me. Nickelodeon’s new all inclusive property in Punta Cana. So I researched and read. And reached out to get details. How important are details? Let me say again, I have three little people. Seriously. Details are ridiculously important.

In the past few years we've started to book part o In the past few years we've started to book part of our travels with travel groups, particularly @adventuresbydisney. One of the best parts about this, and why we will continue to do it, is because with each trip our kids walk away with new friends. Bonds form quickly when you've got to deal with touring boring historic sites in the blistering heat and long bus rides on windy roads together. Now they have friends spread throughout the world that they'd have never had the privilege of knowing before. And that is something special too.

To avoid the heat, most of our Galapagos hikes wer To avoid the heat, most of our Galapagos hikes were pre-breakfast. Bartolome started with an early morning hike giving us views in every direction from the top of a volcanic island with tiny lava lizards living their best lives. It was an easy walk up 350+ steps with platforms along the way to take a break from the uphill climb to soak it all in.
